Palm Beach Project
The brief was to turn this existing four bedroom, three bathroom 1960’s bungalow style home into a luxury five bedroom, six bathroom weekend retreat that had multiple living and entertaining areas suitable for multi-generational use and entertaining family and friends.
The clients wanted to avoid a cliché weatherboard-clad white beach shack, opting instead for a contemporary design that paid homage to the natural surrounds and expansive views of Palm Beach and the Central Coast. Every effort was made to bring the outdoors in, with floor to ceiling, double glazed windows and doors and a series of skylights to bring light in to the back of the home.
The use of soft lines, white marble, weathered brass, natural stone and whitewashed European Oak custom joinery give this house a warm and luxurious feel. Moving outdoors we have honoured the natural landscape through the use of natural stone, a bespoke water feature and an understated custom made cedar garage door and entry gate.
“Being an interior designer, Sam and I have collaborated on several projects in the past and so it was only natural that we engaged him as the Builder and project manager on our Palm Beach residence. The project that we undertook involved a significant alteration to the existing property and was challenging as the plans were all in our head. We knew that the selection of our builder was vital to the success and execution of the project in creating my vision for our family home.
Sam and his team have executed our design to the highest standards and quality. We appreciate the care, time and professionalism that Sam and his team have displayed and the exceptional level of detail and craftsmanship that has gone in to our project.
We are thrilled with our new home and have no hesitation in recommending Sam to any future clients.”Nina
